Agents of the embassy or consulate can help secure medical or financial aid that may be needed as a result of the crime. If you are imprisoned on Trinidad and Tobago, always contact your local embassy or consular agent. While representatives and agents from your embassy do not act as lawyers, they can help you obtain legal representation and educate you about the judicial system in Trinidad and Tobago.
