Ferries and Boats in Trinidad and Tobago

Riding the ferry or a boat between Trinidad and Tobago can be a fun way to visit both islands, but with a one-way trip lasting at least five hours, the cruise can take up a lot of time.

Ports of entry are located on both islands, where inter-island ferries harbor. In Trinidad, most ferry services are available at the port in Port of Spain. In Tobago, ferries dock in Scarborough.

Several ferry services shuttle passengers between Trinidad's Port of Spain and Tobago's Scarborough every day except Saturday. Ferries depart Trinidad at 2:00 p.m. on weekdays and 11:00 a.m. Sundays. When double cabins are available, the cost is approximately $160 Trinidad and Tobago dollars (TT$), approximately $26(USD), but the cost for children younger than 12 is half price. Economy class cabins are TT$50, approximately $8(USD) while tourist class accommodations are more expensive at TT$60, about $10(USD).
